11 tons of special sand was imported to Wollaston Beach in Quincy, MA to create this classic sand castle for Arts on the Shore. The event was a huge success.

Fitzy Snowman at Wollaston Beach June 21, 2008

In 2004 The City of Revere, through the Youth and Recreation Department  commissioned Fitzy Snowman Sculpting to create an 11 foot tall sand castle to add a professional flair to an small event called Celebrate Revere day. From that one sculpture grew a tremendously successful week long festival now known as the New England Sand Sculpting Festival. This year for 2008, Fitzy Snowman Sculpting is launching four new sand sculpting pilot projects based on the same successful platform. Wollaston Beach in Quincy, Ma was the first of our new pilot events and was a huge success. Thanks to the Friends of Wollaston Beach, Tony's Clam Shop, The University of Phoenix and Save the Harbor Save the Bay, Wollaston Beach was able to celebrate it's 100th birthday in style. Fitzy Snowman at Penfield Beach in Fairfield, Connecticut June 26-27, 2008

Our next pilot event was held in Beautiful Fairfield , Connecticut. Members of the Fairfield Beach  Residents Association took notice of the huge success of the New England Sand Sculpting Festival and were eager to jump on board for our 2008 pilot program. The event, held  at Penfield beach and has taken the name,  The Penfield Beach Sand Sculpting Festival. We will be created a 9 ton whimsical interpretation of the famous Penfield Reef Lighthouse just off the coast of Penfield Beach. Fitzy Snowman Sculpting would like to thank the title sponsors , Subway and the Beach Cafe.We would also like to thank our hosts the Fairfield Beach Residents Association for their outstanding hospitality during our stay. It was one of the best events we have ever been a part of. To view the finished sculpture, click here .

The Penfield Reef Lighthouse  was the artistic inspiration for master sculptor Sean Fitzpatrick at this years inaugural PenField Beach Sand Sculpting Festival. June 26-27th

Fitzy Snowman at Salisbury Center Mall July 4-5, 2008

Our latest pilot event was held in nostalgic Salisbury Center Mall near Joe's Playland. We celebrate the 4th in classic New England style. We created a 6 ton patriotic sand sculpture. The kids interactive sand play area was also a huge hit. We would like to extend a special thanks to the Salisbury Chamber of Commerce and all the event sponsors.
