1st Annual Mashpee Pumpkin Carving Festival features world famous sculptor Sean Fitzpatrick October 10, 2009

Fitzy Snowman Sculpting is returning to Mashpee Commons this fall. Thousands got thier first taste of what Fitzy Snowman is all about this summer when he had 50 tons of special sand trucked in for the first ever professional sand sculpting event ever held on the Cape. This time around he will be demonstrating his world famous pumpkin carving skills for the First Annual Mashpee Pumpkin Festival. The folks at Mashpee Commons have plenty more fall fun planned for the whole family including a pie eating contest and lots more! Master Sculptor Sean Fitzpatrick's work has been featured on Good Morning America, The Today Show, The Rachael Ray Show and countless media outlets around the world. He promises to create a stunning display for Mashpee and encourage creativity where ever he goes.

About Mashpee Commons

Mashpee Commons is sited near the geographical center of Mashpee, Massachusetts on Cape Cod. This area has been designated as the town's primary business district for over 30 years. In the mid-1980's, Buff Chace and Douglas Storrs created a plan to transform an existing strip shopping center into a traditional New England town center. This goal was a reaction to the "malling" of Cape Cod and reflected their sense of civic responsibility for appropriate development at the town's center.
