Fitzpatrick's father lost his battle with cancer at the age of 39. Fitzpatrick, now 42, feels an immediate sense of purpose to help rid the world of the disease. His inspiration to build Mike Lowell to benefit cancer research and care at Dana-Farber Cancer Institute through its Jimmy Fund, is in memory of his father. My dad always provided me with an endless source of support for my artistic passion, said Fitzpatrick. Using my gift to sculpt, I hope to help countless cancer patients. It is also my way to say thanks to my dad for his compassion. Fitzpatrick's sand sculpture of Lowell will only be on display at City Hall Plaza until June 11th. Donations for the Jimmy Fund will be accepted at the Sculpture.

Fitzy Snowman's Carving for a Cure Takes place during the Jimmy Fund Scooperbowl on Boston City Hall Plaza June 9 - 11. The attendance of this amazing event is expected to exceed 100,000. The sponsorship opportunities that we offer for this event are an incredible value. Every penny of sponsorship dollars go directly to the Jimmy Fund! We are looking for the right sponsor(s) to step up to the plate and hit a home run for the fight against cancer. Major sponsors will have their corporate logo expertly carved into the finished sculpture of Mike Lowell, banner space at the event, live link on the official web site and mention on the pre event media tour. Our goal is to raise a minimum of $10,000 to benefit the Jimmy fund. we are searching for one major or two co- sponsors to meet this goal. Please contact Fitzy Snowman at 781-249-1494 of email at sean@fitzysnowman.com
