Fitzy Snowman Sculpting to hold a sand sculpting exhibition during the 2nd Annual Penield Beach Sand Sculpting festival June 25 - 28, 2009

FAIRFIELD, CT- Master Sculptor Sean Fitzpatrick will be returning to Penfield Beach this summer to create an amazing whimsical 12 ton sand sculpture sponsored by Subway and Innovative Insurance. This year he will be accompanied by Grand Master Sculptor Suzanne Altamare of Daytona, Florida. Suzanne will be creating a separate sculpture for new event sponsor Fairfield University. She has been sculpting sand for a living since 1982. She sculpts all over the United States, Canada, the Netherlands and Belgium. She is known in the worldwide sand community as a soft sand specialist.

When Fitzy Snowman heard he could invite an additional artist for this years event his long time friend Suzanne was his first choice. " I was thrilled when I found out Suzanne was available for this project", said Fitzy Snowman founder Sean Fitzpatrick. This years event will also include an amateur sand sculpting contest. sponsored by the Police Athletic League call: Robert Seirup. 203-255-5470. The Fairfield Beach Road Association (FBRA), founded in 1955, was incorporated in 1970 to foster the interests of Fairfield Beach Road residents. The goals of the Fairfield Beach Road Association as stated in its By-Laws are: to represent and implement the interests and desires of the membership in maintaining and improving Fairfield Beach, Fairfield, Connecticut, and vicinity; to promote cooperation among the owners and renters of property at Fairfield Beach; to represent the common interests of the membership in relation to governmental authorities and generally to provide for the mutual assistance, enjoyment, entertainment and the improvement of all such persons in connection with residing in the Fairfield beach area.

In 1998 The Fairfield Beach Road Association amended its by-laws to expand the geographic coverage of the association. The new name became the Fairfield Beach Residents Association and the membership now includes residents who live in the area encompassing the Old Post Road, Beach Road and Reef Road extending the length of Fairfield Beach Road.
